Křehká Anatomie Porcelánového Šperku
Kolekce šperků MORF – OUROBOROS je zhmotněním mé fascinace organickými tvary, strukturální křehkostí a cyklickou podstatou života, symbolizovanou mýtickým hadem požírajícím vlastní ocas. Tato série se vyvinula přímo z modulárních elementů mé diplomové porcelánové plastiky z roku 2015, kde jsem zkoumal mřížkovité, šestiúhelníkové struktury inspirované vlastním vizuálním prožitkem. Zatímco původní plastika se zabývala makroskopickou interakcí se světem, šperky transformují stejné principy do mikrokosmu nositelného designu.
Jako keramik a výtvarník jsem zvolil čistě bílý porcelán v biskvitu (bisque). Nepoužitím glazury je zdůrazněna matná, sametová textura a křehká, kosterní podstata materiálu. Tato jemnost je v kontrastu s použitými konstrukčními prvky. Jednotlivé porcelánové segmenty, připomínající obratle nebo buněčné sítě, jsou spojeny tenkým nerezovým drátem a nerezovým lankem. Tato technická volba zajišťuje, že šperky zůstanou flexibilní a dynamické, čímž dosahují organického pohybu na těle, jako by byly živou součástí anatomie.
Nejvýraznějším kusem je brož ve tvaru stylizované páteře, která slouží jako metaforické spojení mezi křehkostí umění a citlivou osou lidského těla. Kolekce MORF – OUROBOROS je tak trvalou designovou reminiscencí na původní umělecký projekt, demonstrující princip minimalizace a recyklace formy. Ukazuje, že i ta nejkomplexnější umělecká myšlenka může najít nové, intimní uplatnění v každodenním životě.
The Fragile Anatomy of Porcelain Jewelry
The MORF – OUROBOROS jewelry collection is the material embodiment of my fascination with organic structure, fragility, and the cyclical nature of creation, referenced by the Ouroboros symbol. This series directly evolved from the modular elements of my 2015 diploma porcelain sculpture, which explored hexagonal, cellular forms. While the original sculpture addressed the macro-level interaction with the environment, the jewelry translates these same principles into the intimate realm of wearable design.
As both a ceramist and designer, I purposefully utilized pure white bisque porcelain (unglazed). This choice highlights the material’s matte, velvety texture and emphasizes the skeletal, bone-like quality of the work. This inherent fragility is deliberately juxtaposed with the technical connections. The individual porcelain segments, resembling vertebrae or cellular matrices, are linked by thin stainless steel wire and cable. This engineering ensures that the pieces retain a necessary flexibility and dynamic movement on the body, mimicking the articulation of a living, organic structure.
The most iconic piece is a large brooch, or neckpiece, designed in the form of a stylized human spine (SPINE). This piece acts as a powerful metaphor, linking the delicate nature of the ceramic medium with the central vulnerability of the human body. The MORF – OUROBOROS collection represents a perpetual design cycle, showcasing the principle of formal reduction and creative repurposing. It demonstrates how a complex artistic investigation can be distilled and reapplied to create profound, intimate, and wearable objects.
